Translation of more than 1,00,000 words of Surveys in Korean to English

Translation of more than 1,00,000 words

Handling the translation of surveys from Korean to English, Ewan faced the challenge of translating nuanced survey questions and maintaining accuracy across a large volume. Our solution involved careful selection of a translator with experience in survey translation. The gradual delivery of files and meticulous translation ensured accuracy and adherence to the survey’s intent.

Surveys are most of the time language centric and allotted to region wise which makes its impact widened. Such a task came across us where we had to translate a chunk of surveys from Korean to English which was a very taxing but challenging task to perform as surveys are very colourful when it comes to translating its MCQ’s and twisting analogy to make the person think of its decision to answer. The main hurdle here was to translate not literally which a lot of people make the mistake of but rather have a localized approach while translating them. Secondly as the volume was huge it was difficult to maintain the accuracy levels to the highest every time for a survey form.

We made sure to appoint the best translator with adequate experience to handle this task as it involved terms and analogies in Korean which are tough to translate for a literal translator. Secondly we didn’t handover the files all at once but rather gave them gradually to just give the translator some space to understand the depth of the task and the time required. We translated the whole task in time and according to the allocated budget.

As the delivery of the task was huge we delivered it in time and with utmost accuracy levels. We also solved some formatting issues which pertained in the files as most of the time the people who create these surveys don’t look after formatting of files. As our delivery was on time our client could shift its focus on performing surveys in English as they were only waiting for the forms to arrive to initiate their survey.
