Translation and Interpretation in Japanese Language for documents and meetings for a construction company.

Translation and Interpretation

Translation and interpretation in the Japanese language for documents and meetings is a testament to the intricacies of bridging linguistic gaps, especially in the context of a construction company. The Japanese language, with its unique characters and nuanced expressions, presents a distinctive set of challenges and opportunities.

The main challenge here was that documents being translated which could vary from manuals to MOM’s had certain peculiarities in the way they were spelt and there were continuous dialogues one after the other. Secondly terms used in the English language and the construction related words were a challenge to translate as one word could mean something completely different in Japanese. While on the interpreting side it was pleasant as there weren’t many minute details to always look for while interpreting.

We made sure that the translations were performed by a person having adequate knowledge of construction terms and not to some random Japanese translator picked from a hay. The interpretations were executed taking in consideration the time zone and also the connectivity as remote interpretation’s main hindrance is its nature of being relied upon machinery.

The client got the exact level of accuracy in the translated documents and there were no complaints made by the client. As the interpretation took place smoothly it fostered a great rapport between the Japanese partner and our client which further strengthened their business relationship.
